Original antique Elm and Yew wood spindle back chair dating from the early 19thC. Makes a great occasional chair or fireside chair. It’s a traditional design “Windsor” chair with spindle back and central “wheel” carved back splat. The seat and legs are made from Elm and the curved back is made from Yew wood. It is small, and whilst not a child’s chair would suit smaller people although I do fit in it (I’m 6ft 3” tall). Lovely original patina and depth of colour. Great structural condition although does have a historic repair to the back where the splat meats the seat. It measures: 33” tall, 15.5” to seat, 18” (approx) overall depth, 20.5” wide (including arms), seat depth is 14”.
