Danish Teak Modernist Storage Record Cabinet On Tapered Wooden Legs.
This very simplistic and stylish cabinet was made in Denmark in the 1960s/70s and was originally a filing cabinet. It is very well constructed with very nicely finger jointed details on the corners.
It makes a great storage option with adjustable shelves internally. It would also be the perfect size for storing LP records.
When I acquired it it was badly scratched and was locked (without the key). I have fully sanded it back and removed the lock.
The hole where it once protruded through makes a simple and effective handle for opening the door. The cabinet has been varnished with 3 coats of a clear satin varnish for protection before being given a clear wax polish.
I have added 4 tapering solid wood legs to raise this from the floor and give it a less blocky/imposing feel.
It does have a small mark on the top but this is genuinely barely noticeable when in use and can easily be covered with items on display if desired.

80cm wide, 40cm deep and 101cm tall
