Huge Royal Doulton “Matsumai” Oval Serving Plate Platter c1910 19.5” x 16”.
Very large antique hand painted meat platter made by Royal Doulton around 1910. The pattern name is Matsumai and is an Imari/Japanese influenced design.
The plate has 2 hairline cracks. One in the body and one on the edge. It also has some fine crazing and grubby marks on the underside of the rim, although I think that these would clean off (please see photos). It still displays well.
It measures 19.5” x 16”
