Reclaimed Farmhouse 1930s Oak Kitchen Table With Planked Solid Maple Top
This beautiful table is constructed of solid oak legs with a very heavy, solid maple top. It is made from the base of a 1930s drawer leaf table with a brand new, very robust solid maple top.
The original table dates from around the 1920s/30s. It was missing the top so I have made a very thick new top out of solid maple off cuts. The timber was abandoned by a neighbouring factory due to knots in the wood. It’s still very decorative timber with a very light wood tone and shimmering grain. The timber for the top alone is worth over £200.
The legs have been sanded, primed and then painted in three coats of Farrow And Ball “Downpipe”. The top has been finished in OSMO clear satin wax oil for a very durable finish.
The table measures:
117cm long, 89cm wide and 75cm tall
It makes a very nice kitchen or dining room table and would fit in many styles of decor blending the traditional and modern.
