Beautifully painted decorative tile, most likely for use as a pan/pot coaster in a kitchen or for on a table for a vase perhaps.
It features a bright red lava like centre surrounded by an abstract/totemic design.
Very unusual and highly decorative piece.
I have found one similar tile online suggested it might be the design of Ann Wynn-Reeves and a quick search suggests that this is certainly very similar to other pieces by her.
It measures 6” in diameter, is in very good condition with no cracks or crazing. A couple of very very tiny flea bites on the underside rim but very difficult to detect. Felt lined in the base.
