This beautifully styled 1960s dressing makes a perfect piece for the bedroom, or (with the mirrors removed) a very elegant and stylish desk. It was manufactured by Gimson and Slater as part of their Vesper range, and was retailed by high end stores such as Heals of London. This one was sold by Chapmans of Newcastle (they are re-badged as such) It features a wonderfully simple and elegant shape, very nicely styled teak handles. It stands on very elegant, slender legs afromosia teak legs. The teak grain of the veneers used are particularly nice, as is the contrast between the lighter teak body and darker afromosia teak legs and mirror surrounds. It features two sizeable drawers to each side, a central “hidden” drawer, and tri-fold adjustable mirror. It measures: 5ft wide x 18.5” deep x 28.5” to desk top. Condition wise it is in excellent vintage condition with only a few very very minor marks. The top has been fully stripped, re-oiled with several coats of Danish oil before being wax polished. One of the drawer handles has been repaired but this is perfectly solid and barely noticeable when in use.
