Vintage Mid Century Retro Scandart Rocking Chair For Restoration.
Superbly styled Scandart rocker armchair dating from the 1960s.
This is in need of a little love to bring it back to life, but would look superb once finished. They feature superb bentwood arms, lovely clean mid century lines, and very low slung, deep seat. Perfect for lounging in comfort.
The frame is in really good, solid condition with no wobbles or major structural issues. It has had a slight split on the top backrest but has been glued and is in good, strong condition. Would be barely noticeable if sanded.
However - the webbing is worn and needs replacing with new Pirelli webbing. The chair has some wear to the finish on the arms. Nothing too major but would look great sanded back and re-finished. The original cushions have been recovered in homemade taupe covers. These could do with being re-covered. The foam feels good underneath and I will include these with the sale.
