This beautiful 1960s dressing chest has been fully refurbished and is looking great! It’s a nice compact and useful piece, giving extra storage. It was made by British firm “Wrighton” furniture around 1960 and features a typical mid century style with slender tapering legs, clean lines and a lovely book-matched grain to the French walnut veneer. It’s very similar to pieces made by Arthur Cox in style and colour, and is well constructed with dovetailed joints to the the drawers. The “ring” handles are a particularly nice feature too. It’s been fully stripped of its tired, old finish and re-varnished in 3 coats of clear satin poly for a durable and light wood tone. It has then been clear wax polished for a satin sheen. The handles have been fully cleaned and polished too. It’s in excellent sturdy condition and the bevelled mirror is in great shape too with no damage or foxing. The top has an additional safety glass top to protect from spillages which can be used if required. Additionally if you only wanted the drawers (without the mirror) then the mirror and supports can be removed. It measures: 3ft wide, 20” deep, 30.5” to “table” top and 55” to top of the mirror.
